Conclusions

Despite alarmingly increasing skin cancer rates in the United States and many other countries, the results of this study demonstrate that widespread and consistent sun protective behavior is lacking among junior tennis players. By identifying concrete shortcomings, our results provide a rationale for the development of targeted educational campaigns to increase skin cancer risk awareness and more effective preventive measures in junior tennis players.
